Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine's complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.

This wine has a star bright lemon hue and while lemons, limes and mandarins come to the fore, there is a background of ripe stonefruit such as peaches and apricots. Honeysuckle and honeycomb influences come from botrytis, which has also made the wine more full bodied and concentrated. It has a spine of natural acidity and tingling minerality that helps draw out the palate structure to a citrus zest finish

Heady aromas of passionfruit and pineapple flirt temptingly against a backdrop of grapefruit, green apple, lemon peel and a hint of gunflint. The mouthfeel is textured yet precise, with a rousing whip of acidity and simmering phenolics that give the wine increased structure and length. A complex and serious Sauvignon Blanc, displaying intense varietal character, a multi- faceted palate, and a long salivating finish.

The 2022 vintage opens with an intriguing mix of graphite, pencil shavings and crème de cassis, layered with wild herbs, violets and sweet spice. Rich and expansive on the palate, lush blackcurrant takes centre stage, supported by balanced tannins, fresh acidity and well-integrated oak. A subtle note of sarsaparilla adds an unexpected twist to the lingering finish, making this a compelling Cabernet with the structure to reward cellaring through to 2040.

Originally released as single-vintage wines, it has evolved into a carefully crafted multi-varietal, multi-vintage blend that reflects Penfolds' enduring winemaking philosophy. Matured in seasoned oak barrels for an average of at least three years, it remains the cornerstone of the Penfolds fortified collection. Rich yet approachable, Club Tawny opens with inviting aromas of caramel, roasted nuts and ripe plum, lifted by a subtle hint of aniseed. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is widely planted across South Australia's premium wine regions, particularly in the Limestone Coast where grapes with tremendous structure and beautiful aromatics are found. Well-regarded since its launch in 2002, the Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the merits of multi-regional blending to Penfolds 'House Style'. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. The Penfolds Max's range pays tribute to the winery's first Chief Winemaker, Max Schubert, celebrating his relentless pursuit of excellence and the enduring philosophy of sourcing the finest fruit from Australia's best wine regions. Max's Shiraz reflects this legacy with a contemporary interpretation of one of Australia's most celebrated varieties. Aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, cranberries and plum are layered with notes of white fruit cake, vanilla sponge and savoury Mediterranean influences. The palate is smooth and precise, revealing redcurrant, rhubarb and goji flavours with silky graphite-like tannins and steely acidity. Approachable in its youth, it offers balance, focus and refined texture.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.
