Château La Chapelle Maillard is located on the hillsides of the Dordogne on the tip of the Saint-Emilion appellation. The soil is a mix of Castillon clay and Saint-Emilion limestone. The vineyard has been certified organic since the 1980s, applying the absolute minimum treatments to the vines and vinifying the fruit with minimal intervention to preserve its natural strengths. Ripe red and black fruit aromas complimented by a strong ruby-red colour in the glass. In the mouth, has a beautiful feel, pleasant by its roundness and velvety softness. The finish is silky with good aromatic persistence.

Hints of spice, vanilla and toasted coconut accent sun-kissed black cherry and plum in this juicy red wine. A full bodied wine with ripe, yielding tannins and a smooth finish.

This bright, sunny, light-to-medium-bodied, salmon-coloured beauty is an elegantly crisp, refreshing, well-balanced, and deliciously dry Côtes de Provence Rosé.

A rather lovely wine, blending old-vine Grenache and Cinsault, with a little Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, grown at 350-metres altitude. Salmon pink with a touch of peach, there's an exotic lychee and fragrant mandarin and peach aroma, leading on to a crisp but textured palate with vivid fruit and a fine lemony acid balance. There's a little grip here that's welcome as a food wine, yet has charm and easy-drinking pleasure too.

Named in honour of Gwen, the Wife of Tom McDonald, father of Church Road. Gwen explores a more elegant and refined style of winemaking. Gwen Rosé is an off dry and finely textured Syrah rosé with subtle red fruit, floral notes, spice, and an underlying creaminess. On the palate, gentle acidity and a slatey minerality make this a sophisticated drink that will work well as an aperitif or as a versatile food wine. A great match with a range of fresh salads, seafood, poultry, and cold cuts.

The finest free run juice was barrel fermented in predominantly older French oak to produce this finely textured, elegant Chardonnay. Grown on gravel soils in Hawke's Bays' warmest sub regions, these vineyards typically produce rich Merlot displaying dense, brooding plum and dark berry fruit. This is complimented by subtle notes of violet, spice, earthy undertones and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is rich, weighty and long, driven by a firm yet fine-grained tannin structure. For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered and decanting is recommended.
