Behemoth are suckers for throwing fruit into beer, and this series is their way of shining a big, juicy spotlight on one fruit at a time, then wrapping it all up in a mouth-puckering tart Sour Ale. For the fifth instalment, they're coming in hot with the ultimate summer icon: watermelon. REAL watermelon. No flavouring fakery, no shortcuts, no "natural essence of watermelon-ish" nonsense. "How much?" They crammed 200kg of the stuff into the tank, enough to turn Rael, their head brewer, redder than the fruit itself.

It's back, and it's bigger than ever! Some of you OG Behemoth fans might remember this beer as one of the very first seasonals they ever dared to put in a can. Back then it was a bit of a pioneer, and now they've dragged it out of the vault, cranked up the flavour dials, and given it the full hazy treatment it always deserved. They've built it on a pillowy base of pale malt, oats, and wheat to make it soft, smooth, and oh-so palatable. Then they went absolutely tropical with it-packed full of flavours and aromas of pineapple, passionfruit and mango until it practically bursts out of the can with sunshine.

This Double Hazy IPA has been double dry hopped with mystical precision, conjuring up juicy tropical spells and hoppy hexes that'll have you fall under Churly's charm in no time. When Behemoth and Hopsters Co-Op from across the ditch get together in Mt Eden, you know something sneaky's brewing. On the surface, this beer looks like a straight-up Belgian IPA, bright, punchy, and packed with that hoppy goodness we all love. But shhh... don't tell anyone, we all know a Belgian IPA is really just a Saison with a better marketing plan. It's got the body of an IPA, the soul of a Saison. Heavily inspired by iconic example of the style, but with NZ's Motueka and Nelson, a kawakawa steeping addition and the attitude of two breweries who refuse to colour inside the lines. Whatever you call it, it's deliciously deceptive.

Brewed in cahoots with Behemoth's crispy, spicy mates at Peach's Hot Chicken, this American Pale Ale is made for sittin', sippin', and snackin'. At a perfectly sessionable strength, Porch Pounder brings the hoppy goods without knocking you off your rocking chair. Aromatic, citrus'y and flavourful, it's the ultimate sidekick to a plate of hot fried chicken-with just enough bitterness to cut through the grease and enough malt to cool the heat. It's a match made in mouth-watering heaven.

Ah, the old West Coast IPA, timeless and bold. A throwback to simpler times long ago, like 2015 sort of time. Big hops, no haze, a solid bitterness and an all-star lineup of citrus and pine dominant hops from the USA and New Zealand.
